" What the Caterpillar calls the end of the World The Master Calls a Butterfly" Richard Bach
I love this quote. It will become my mantra. The poor little caterpillar thought that his life was over but then...Then he became something more, able to be free. Able to fly. I'm sure that he was scared to death. He probably thought that he was dying. The safe sheet that had enveloped him was tearing away. I wonder if it was as painful to him as it has been to me? The slow pulling away of his skin, his surroundings, until, for a brief time, he was left naked and vunerable. Scared and alone. Left to shiver, without the safety that had always surrounded him ? And then... After the pain, did he notice that he had become better? Able to soar? Rise above the barren tree branch that had been his life? Was he able to look far below him and think "thank you'? "thank you for making me change"? I think that he did. I think that I will. After the pain of betrayal goes away, I think that I will fly.
