Becoming a Butterfly

Hello all, I missed all of you a lot !! I got a few things accomplished and "daddy's" lawyer will be hearing from mine soon. Too bad huh? Let me tell you what happened to me today. I was taking out my trash and opened my kitchen door and jumped two feet in the air. A UPS man was standing there with a package for me. It scared me because I didn't expect to see anyone standing there. Anyway, he handed me this package about two feet long and two feet high. It had my name and address and everything but it was really light. No return address or company label. So... I brought it inside and opened it. There was a styrofoam container in there. I started thinking... Hannibal Lector? I opened the top of that and there was dry ice smoking away and a package of HOT POCKETS. That's it... dry ice and hot pockets. Two Hot pockets. Chicken Barbeque Hot pockets. Needless to say, it kind of freaked me out. I can think of two people that may want to poison me... Kevin? Lynne?.. But???? I tore that box apart looking for who sent it and why, but I still don't know. I can't tell you what they taste like because I certainly WON'T be eating them. I just thought that was very bizarre... I'm glad to be back among friends. | | Posted by ValAnne at 6:39 PM -

I have been remiss about answering my blog comments and writing you back, and for that I apologize. I've had my head in the clouds trying to make some decisions. I HAVE decided that I am going to pursue child support. It may get "daddy" in trouble and I don't think that he can afford it But, oh well... He has done nothing since his son was born and we can't be friends so.... I guess that it's his problem. I need the help. I may be offline for a couple of days, scurrying about, so I'll catch up with ya'll later and I love all of you. Be careful and no fighting. Brush your teeth and say your prayers. OH GUESS WHAT ???? It rained today.. For the first time in a looong time. later friends... | | Posted by ValAnne at 10:15 PM -

The news repots that a man in Sterling, Illinois atempted to break into a liquor store, cut his arm on a broken window, and bled to death. At 1:28 AM, Sterling Police recieved a 911 call about a body lying in the street. The man identified as Tony Rupp 19, had a severe laceration to his left arm. The liquor store clerk said, " he was underage, he knew that he couldn't buy it legally". (DUH). Rupp was on probation after pleading guilty Feb.26 to "consumption of liquor by a minor. This story makes me sad for a couple of reasons. How horrible to have such an addiction that you would risk jail again. I'm sure that death didn't even enter his mind. There will be those who say " serves him right, he was breaking the law". I bet those will be the same folks that have never battled an addiction. AND.. this was someone's child, someones loved one. When I first read this story, I chuckled and then thought about it some more. It's really not very funny.

Have any of you seen that British TV show called " Most Haunted?" It comes on Friday Nights ( here) On the Travel Channel. I have been watching it for the last few weeks and it intrigues me. There are some VERY old buildings in Britan. Some dating back to the 1100's. This show has a blond hostess ( of course), a man that tried to debunk paranormal things and a psychic. The home owner or building owner calls this crew in because they have either "seen" things or "heard" things. This crew will come in and walk through the house during the daylight and THEN come in at night with all of the lights out. They have camera's they can see in the dark, EVP's( some machine that can pick up UNHEARD by us voices) and other equipment. Last week they went to a place called THE RAM INN. It was built in the 1300's and the owners were scared to death. Their son had been picked up and tossed out of bed. Allegedly, this inn was on the site of a Pagan sacrifical ground. They had actually sacrificed Humans according to records. The moment that the crew walked in, the Psychic started getting "really evil feelings". He said that he SAW an evil man in a Monk's costume and that he was the instigater of all of the bad things. The camera picked up one of the crew being violently thrown to the ground and kicked by unseen forces. This guy really did look like he was scared out of his mind. He was crying. Do you believe in this stuff? I have actually had some Psychic experiences. When I was 8 years old, my family lived in New York. We were watching Bonanza on the black and white TV. I looked at my mom and said, " why is Poppy Laying in a box on TV?" Poppy was my greatgrandpa whom I loved very much. My mom got upset with me and told me NOT to keep saying that. Ten minutes later, we got the call from Iowa. Poppy had just died. When I was 15 years old, I woke up from a HORRIBLE "nightmare". it was 2:30 Am. I had been dreaming that there were 83 people on an airplane and it was crashing. I didn't Crash, I woke up. The dream was so vivid that I went and got into bed with my mom. She po pooed me and told me to go to sleep. The next morning's news reported that at 2;30 AM, 82 ( I guess that I was number 83) people had been killed in a plane crash. My mom still has that newspaper article. I have walked into houses and have been able to tell that someone has died there AND the person's name. When my first husband called me a few weeks ago, the very FIRST thing that he asked me was "do you still have those crazy things happen? I used to scare him to death. I have always been afraid that this was an "evil" gift but maybe not. Who knows? Perhaps it's my Native American and Irish heritage? Both very mystic people. Do you believe in Psychics? If no, why not?

Athletes are supposed to be role models for kids. People to look up to and admire. Sadly, many college athletes don't even have to make good grades anymore. They can "get by" on thier size or speed. I'm sure that there are more athletes in prison then I can mention but these are just a few that I found. Athletes make money, LOTS of money. Heros should be teachers, policemen, firemen and soldiers. Nurses and paramedics. Missionaries and preachers. They should be, but they're not. They don't make enough money. Kids don't look up to them anymore. Here are just a few of the bad guy athletes. 1. MICHAEL VICK- Will plead guilty to federal dogfighting conspiracy charges. The offense is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $ 250,000 fine. Justice would be for him to be put in a cell with a HUGE pschopathic animal lover. 2. BOB PROBERT- Red Wings Hockey player that was arrested in 1989 for trying to smuggle cocaine into the US and served three months in prison. Three months? Gee..that was harsh... 3. MIKE TYSON- Have you seen his tatoo that covers most of his face? It would really make a girl want to kiss him. Yummy..Tyson always seemed to want to self destruct, but he reached a new low when he was convicted of rape in 1992. He served three years of a six year sentence. 4. RAE CARUTH- ex NFL player for The Carolina Panthers. In 1999, he was charged with the murder of his pregnant girlfriend. He was convicted of a lesser charge and will be released in 2018. Just think... his child would be 20 then. LESSER charge??? Makes me want to be sick.. 5. JAMAL LEWIS- The Raven's Running back had a 2,000 yard year in 2004, but was charged and convicted of distributing cocaine and sentenced to 4 months in prison. Poor baby... he just wasn't making quite enough money as an NFL Running back. 6. MIKE DANTON- In 2004,the St. Louis Blue's Center tried to hire a hitman to kill his agent. Danton got 7 1/2 years in prison. Maybe his agent should have shown him the money??? 7. MAURICE CLARETT- The Denver Bronco's Running backs career was already going downhill when he was arrested in 2006 following a police chase. He was found with loaded guns and body armor. He is serving a 7 year prison sentence. 8. UGEUTH URBINA- The Florida Marlin's former allstar was sentenced earlier this year to 14 years in prison in Venezuela. He was charged with attempted murder after he attacked workers on his land with a machete. 9. LET US NOT FORGET... The most "innocent" athlete of all O.J. Simpson. Just seeing his picture in the paper makes me want to hurl. It's amazing the verdict that money CAN buy. These other idiots should have hired OJ's lawyers. That's it folks.. Just a few of our Kids role models. Aren't we proud?
